It is with a profound appreciation to have cordially known and performed with Y&T bassist Phil Kennemore. Truly a free spirit and one helluva sweet, nice man, Phil's battle with cancer ended today with his passing at 57. The rock world will truly miss this troubadour and our hearts, thoughts and prayers are with Phil's family including Dave & Jill Meniketti, Y&T and the friends and fans he's known over the years. May the grace of God shine on you all.  -Randy Monroe

12/21/10

RockSkool would like to extend their warmest wish to everybody this Holiday Season and we look forward to seeing you real soon.

Our Sfarzo String Company Christmas Party was a "smash" and one good ol' rockin' time. RockSkool guitarist Terry Lauderdale will perform with Queensryche vocalist Jeff Tate at the annual Y&T New Year's Eve Avalon Santa Clara, CA on 12/31/10. It is an All-Star studded benefit for Y&T bassist Phil Kennemore who is battling cancer. We ALL wish Phil lots of love and a speedy recovery.

Well, RockSkool totally popped a few cherries last Thursday for the Annual Fleet Week Party with our friends; the guest of honor? Our only question is, "Where were you on a work night"? Terry and Eric are the guitar team that dreams are made of. Combine that with our bottom end Ed on drums and Jesse on bass and sprinkle on a little key master Jason... sheeit, Man this band f'n totally RULES!

We hope to see you ALL for the the Halloween Benefit at The Craneway Pavilion 10/31 – RockSkool hits the stage at 4:00ish.

9/30/10

RockSkool would like to thank guitarist Jeff Jones for all of his hard work and commutes to Oakland from Sacramento in wood-shedding RockSkool to "A-Game status". We wish him the best of luck in all of his future endeavors.

With that being said, RockSkool would also like to welcome in to the band Randy's longtime friend and rock star guitarist Terry Lauderdale. "I am hella excited to have my ole Compadre and tremelo master on the axe shreddin' the notes of OUR incredible song list selections" states Randy.

RockSkool was also recently asked to perform for an all day benefit on Halloween October 31, 2010. The benefit takes place at the beautifully restored Craneway Pavilion in Richmond, California. The cause is to raise money for the victims and families of the sudden and terrible San Bruno PG&E natural gas line explosion and disaster on September 9th, 2010.

RockSkool is slated to play at 3:00PM.

"We believe in helping those less fortunate; especially in times of need. It comes with being educators and our responsibility to be actively engaged in our communities. RockSkool's industry favorite alter-ego HFT was there for the Hurricane Katrina Disaster Relief Fund with friends Night Ranger, Y&T, Tesla and Eric Martin at a sold-out dean Lesher Center and continues to support efforts in variety of fashions and forms for a variety of communities. We hope to see you ALL at the benefit".

HFT will also perform at 6:00PM

9/22/10

RockSkool is pleased to announce its newest member to the family. At 9:45AM HFT drummer Eddie Studebaker and wife Alison Rowen-Studebaker gave birth to a beautiful and healthy baby boy aptly named Dara Edward Studebaker. Mellow but evidently "kick-worthy" in and out of Allison's belly; if tradition follows suit, Dara is already shaping up to be a fine Studebaker Drummer. All of us from the RockSkool family want to congratulate and send OUR LOVE to the Studebaker family.

*Just to note, Ed's other son Josh (20) is making a tremendous impact as a dominant SF Bay area thrash metal drummer in the band ASSAILANT.

Well, summer is finally upon us and Rockin' Randy's Flying Circus has a new name and a new look – RockSkool.

Rockin' Randy's Flying Circus, originally thought of as a production company name has served its purpose over the last year, to gather the best six piece musical rock line-up in the industry and to "wood-shed" and polish a variety of our favorite rock tunes.

RockSkool is now on the verge of "busting out" of our northern California shell and going national as an major, multiple band representative and thoroughly diversified entity on the rock-n-roll tribute scene. Starting with the music of the late 1960s and moving through the 70s, 80s and then into the 90s and today, RockSkool performs songs from a variety of rock genres to meet the demand of everyone from 6 to 60 years old!

We look forward to seeing everyone soon and until then, "Rock On" students of RockSkool!

3/28/10

Rockin' Randy's Flying circus made their official debut on to the BIG stage last Friday at the Santa Rosa Battle of the Brews. Running a set of larger than life hits spanning a multitude of rock genres and years from 1970–1989, the crowd of 2,700+ enjoyed not only the beverages and food, but really took a liking to our show and stayed well after the all the beer was gone! Video and audio were recorded and should be posted on our Multimedia page very soon. Thanks to ALL those folks for coming out and supporting charity for a fun cause!

12/16/09

"I and the gentlemen of Rockin' Randy's Flying Circus, the Classic Rock Experience would like to extend their best wishes for everybody's former, current and continued merriment and celebration during this festive time of the year. Happy Holidays you ALL.

Next up, 2010. Here WE go!"

The new and highly energized six piece rock-n-roll extravaganza Rockin' Randy's Flying Circus has been sheddin' and is preppin' to make their debut for the annual HOT FOR TEACHER Fleet Week Party Thursday October 8, 2009. The band is throwing down some of the BIGGEST classic rock smash hits ever. The first few songs are: Boston-Foreplay/Longtime, Led Zep-Kashmire, Kansas-Carry On My Wayward Son, Foreigner-Double Vision, Journey-Anyway You Want It and the ever popular AC/DC-Shook Me All Night Long.

Our goal: "To drop jaws and melt faces"!

7/1/09

HOT FOR TEACHER and Rockin' Randy's Flying Circus were both on hand to perform for a 40th Birthday Party in beautiful Laguna Niguel SoCal last weekend. The bands never sounded so good. HFT did some VH classics and RRFC covered a slew of 80s material with Rude Jude Gold on guitar all night.

Both HFT and RRFC were slated by many of the powers that be, to do at first the Morgan Hill Community Indepenence Day show, then the Santa Rosa County Independence Day show. But do to some crazy beaurocratic communication snafus with both city goverments and agencies, we simply decided to celebrate with family and friends at home; which will officially begin at 6:00PM on Friday July 3, at the 2009 Alameda County Fair with our ol' buddy Brad Gillis and Night Ranger. Yes, WE will Still Rock in America!

We want to wish everyone a happy and safe 4th of July weekend!

6/8/09

ROCKIN' RANDY's FLYING CIRCUS had a great time performing for the Stockton Yacht Club's Delta Ditch Derby last weekend. Former HFT bassist Aaron Leigh filled in for Jesse Scott that had a personal commitment and it was hella great jammin' with our heavy thumpin' Bro' again. The crowd was shakin' and dancin' until the very end!

RRFC also has some great news regarding guitarist Sam Eigen. Sam has been chosen to work and perform on the new American Idol Record/CD and then subsequently tour Britain with famed Italian rock act Luca Carboni. Unfortunately and sadly for RRFC, the time commitments do not coincide with those of RRFC. "I know that I speak for Ed, Jesse and Jason when saying we wish Sam all the good things in life as he pursues his dreams and musical endeavors. Whomever replaces Sam has some mighty BIG shoes to fill both in talent and personal character. We love ya Dude and you are and always will be part of the RRFC family".

HFT guitarist Jude Gold has graciously agreed to step back in momentarily and very temporarily because of his crazy schedule. Jude has commited to help cover guitar duties later this month for a private party in Laguna and until a replacement is found.

We begin auditions by the end of the month that will last into early July. "We know of a few interested parties that are capable of following their predecessor's suit, but we are a picky bunch of cartoon characters, especially having been lucky enough to play with both insanely talented and tasty guitarists Jude Gold who helped form RRFC and Sam Eigen who fueled our jets as RRFC begins to take off as the nation's premier Classic Rock Experience". Details will follow as they present themselves.

We thank you all for your support and we'll see you soon"!

Rockin' Randy

5/1/09

Rockin' Randy's Flying Circus makes its public debut at La Barca Mexican Tequila Bar and Restaurant in San Francisco on Saturday May 2 for the Cinco de Mayo Celebration.

RRFC also wants to officially welome our new members; shred master guitarist Sam Eigen and boppin' keyboardist/guitarist Jason Goodman to our team of professional Rock-n-Rollers.

On a sober note, "Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of those south of the border during this year's illness sticken time".

4/4/09

Both Rockin' Randy's Flying Circus and HOT FOR TEACHER, the Van Halen Experience will be performing for the Stockton Sailing Club and their Delta Ditch Run from Richmond to Stockton from 8:00-11:00PM on Saturday June 6, 2009. This is a wonderful outdoor event right at the Marina in Stockton that includes live music and BBQ.

We hope that all you Van Halen and Rock-n-Roll fans have been itching for some bad-ass tunes from some old pros. The boys have been busy with rehearsals and are ready to bust out both RRFC next month and the 2009 HFT calender very soon. In the meantime, Randy has been building his own business and a science educational service. Please check out www.MonroeScienceEd.com.

It is a very sad and grounding day for the HOT FOR TEACHER and Rockin' Randy's Flying Circus family. Last night, drummer Eddie Studebaker's 14 month old daughter, Niamh (pronouced "Nieve") passed in her sleep. We are all deeply saddened by this unfortunate news. All of our thoughts and prayers are with the Studebaker family in their time of loss. She will be missed.
